After Oprah Winfrey delivered a speech Sunday night at the Golden Globe awards that drew calls on social media for the talk-show host to run for president, her longtime partner Stedman Graham said Winfrey would be up for it.

"It's up to the people…she would absolutely do it," Graham told the Los Angeles Times.

Winfrey, 63, received a lifetime achievement award at NBC's Golden Globes ceremony, becoming the first black woman to receive that award.

In her speech, she praised women who shared their stories of sexual harassment and abuse, saying a "a new day is on the horizon" for girls and women.

Hollywood Reporter critic Daniel Fienberg noted the similarity between Winfrey and President Donald Trump.

"Oprah's speech might have produced tears at my Globes gathering, but that doesn't mean that once the dust clears she's going to flirt with running for elective office of any size, much less the presidency," Fienberg wrote in The Hollywood Reporter.

"She is, after all, largely just a wealthy TV personality with no political experience being currently buoyed by an appearance on NBC. What chance could she possibly have of becoming president?"

Gabriel Debenedetti, a writer for Politico, tweeted poll information that showed support for Winfrey running, but noted that the information is "based on zero evidence that she'd even consider doing it."
