Authorities have arrested Netflix star Jeremiah "Jerry" Harris for producing child pornography.
The FBI executed a search warrant at Harris' home in Naperville, Illinois, on Monday after he was accused of soliciting sex from two boys under age 18. The New York Post reported that Harris was arrested Thursday.
Harris, 21, starred in the popular docuseries "Cheer" on Netflix, a show that followed the cheerleading program at Navarro College in Texas. Two twin boys filed a lawsuit against Harris on Monday, claiming that when they were 13 and he was 19, he attempted to solicit sex from them and demanded explicit photos over a period of more than a year.
The Post reports that Harris convinced them to perform sex acts. The boys' mother discovered explicit messages and photos related to the matter on their cellphones, the Post reported.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Harris was charged with one count of production of child pornography. If convicted, he would face at least 15 years in prison.
