President Donald Trump’s fall military parade is now estimated to cost $92 million dollars -- $80 million more than originally figured, CNBC is reporting.
The estimate comes as the Department of Defense and others involved update their costs. CNBC attributed the figures to an unnamed defense official with firsthand knowledge of the assessment.
The $92 million estimate includes $50 million from the Pentagon and $42 million from other agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, according to CNBC. It includes security, transportation of parade assets, aircraft, temporary duty for troops, as well as tanks.
The parade will also include will also include helicopter, fighter jet and historical military plane flyovers.
CNN reported last month that the parade had been planned to cost about $12 million, but warned it was subject to change.
