Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban appears to be putting aside his feud with fellow billionaire Donald Trump now that Trump has been elected president of the United States.
Ahead of his congressional testimony Tuesday on the proposed AT&T-Time Warner merger, Cuban was asked by CNBC about Trump's relationship with businesses, considering his recent talks to keep Carrier jobs from leaving for Mexico and his tweet on Tuesday calling out Boeing over the cost of building new Air Force Ones.
"Donald Trump is our No. 1 draft pick," Cuban replied. "He's who we put our hopes and dreams with, and we're gonna believe in him. Right now, it's a little bit easier because we haven’t played a game yet."
Cuban supported Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election, calling Trump "an immediate and present danger to the security of this country."
He declined to answer a question about his recent meeting in a New York coffee shop with Trump's chief strategist, Steve Bannon.
"That's not a topic for now," he said.
As for Trump, however, Cuban appears to be letting bygones be bygones.
"I hope he's a superstar, and everything turns out the way we hope it will," he said.
