By    |   Saturday, 15 April 2017 10:04 PM EDT

The New York Police bomb squad was called to JFK Airport Saturday afternoon after what appeared to be a grenade was found in a freight building, CBS New York reports.

“The grenade was found to be an inactive training device being shipped legitimately for military training,” a Port Authority spokesman told Newsday by email.

The object was first reported at around 4:15 p.m. in Building #77 and dozens were evacuated from the building.

"All is clear and everyone has been back in the building for about an hour," the spokesman said at 7:30 p.m.
