Despite consistent jabs from President Donald Trump, donors have contributed more than $140,000 to the FBI Agents Association's two charitable funds.

"This money will send the children of deceased agents to college and help FBI families in need," the association tweeted Tuesday.

The FBI Agents Association, or FBIAA, represents thousands of active and former agents in the bureau.

Trump's most recent criticism of the FBI came Tuesday morning when he tweeted the agency was "tainted" in relation to a "Fox & Friends" segment where Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz called the infamous dossier that contained potentially damaging allegations about Trump's campaign and the candidate himself, "bogus."

Chaffetz also said the dossier was funded with "nefarious ties," and "perhaps even with the Clinton campaign."
