The Gipper is back!

Former GOP President Ronald Reagan will be a character on a second season flashback episode of the of the hit FX series, "Fargo."

The flashback takes the show back to the late 70s, when Reagan was first running for president, and, in the show, he makes a campaign stop in Fargo and interacts with the cast, Mediaite reports.

Reagan, who won the presidency in 1980 and again in 1984, will be played by veteran actor Bruce Campbell, familiar to TV audiences through his performance in the long-running series "Burn Notice." The co-star of that series, Jeffrey Donovan, also is in "Fargo," though it is unknown whether the pair will share any scenes, Comic Book Resources (CBR) notes.

Campbell was briefly in the original 1996 murder-comedy movie "Fargo," on which the television series is loosely based, and also is known for playing Ash Williams in Starz' "Ash vs. Evil Dead," according to IGN.

In the movie "Fargo," Campbell is seen on the television as a soap actor being watched by the kidnappers played by Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare, Coming Soon reports.

Reagan, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said, is "on his first campaign and he makes a swing through Fargo. Some of the characters have some interactions with him and some of his movies are also a part of the show," IGN reported.
