Warren Buffett has become the unlikely face of the abortion rights movement, according to Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center.
Writing on
FoxNews.com, Gainor said the often described "Oracle of Omaha" has donated more than $1.2 billion to fund abortion rights groups from 2001 to 2012.
That equals the cost of about 2.7 million first trimester abortions, "more than twice the number of abortions that occur in an entire year in the United States," wrote Gainor, who is vice president for business and culture at the
Media Research Center. "Imagine the equivalent of the lives of 2.7 million children snuffed out to serve the whims of the third-richest man in the world. Most people would say that’s a story, most likely several."
Buffett donates the money through The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, named after his first wife, and is currently led by activist Tracy Weitz, who once defined abortion as "a moral action undertaken by moral agents," Gainor wrote.
The report also says the $289,811,421 Buffet has donated to Planned Parenthood since 2001 has been largely unreported by the mainstream media.
Buffett was also not mentioned as a top donor when Live Action group embarrassed Planned Parenthood with videos of staffers assisting an undercover Live Action operator with an attempted sex selection abortion, according to the
Washington Free Beacon.
