Court TV will broadcast the trials of the men charged with killing George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery in February.
The network said on Tuesday it will air the trial of Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer charged with murdering Floyd in May. It will also broadcast the case State of Georgia v. Gregory McMichael, Travis McMichael and William Bryan, who are being tried in the February shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery.
The hearing for the Chauvin case has been set for Sept. 11, with a tentative trial date of March 8. A trial date hasn't been set yet for three murder suspects in the Arbery case. The three suspects have pleaded not guilty.
"Given the current news climate in our country at the moment, there are trials ahead that represent some of the biggest, most critical and relevant cases we've seen in modern history," Scott Tufts, Court TV senior vice president, said in a press release. "Court TV will be there, bringing viewers unrivaled access and insight into those cases as well as all the other compelling trials on the docket."
Court TV is also scheduled to air the R. Kelly sexual abuse trial in New York, the case of Lori Vallow and the Robert Durst murder trial.
