Bill Cosby's daughter has released a statement of support amid multiple public allegations that the famed comedian had drugged and sexually assaulted several women,
The Huffington Post reported.
"He is the FATHER you thought you knew," the star's youngest daughter Evin Cosby, 38, said in a statement to
Access Hollywood. "The Cosby Show was my today's TV reality show. Thank you. That's all I would like to say :)"
The Post noted that a woman using the name Evin Cosby has also been actively
posting to Facebook messages of support for her family.
In a post from yesterday, the writer says: "Spelman College should be ashamed of themselves," a reference to the historically black school's suspension Monday of its longstanding Cosby professorship,
MSNBC noted.
Evin Cosby's public remarks came a day after Cosby's wife, Camille, also spoke out in his defense in a statement,
USA Today reported.
"None of us ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked — who is the victim?" Camille Cosby wrote, noting her husband was "the man you thought you knew."
