US Judge Blocks Trump's Order Suspending Refugee Resettlement Program

A federal judge on Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump's effort to indefinitely suspend the U.S. refugee resettlement program.

U.S. District Judge Jamal Whitehead in Seattle announced the decision after hearing arguments in a lawsuit by a coalition of U.S. refugee backers who argued Trump exceeded his executive authority by abruptly shutting down the program.
