One day after talking about removing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is back taking aim at President Donald Trump.
Trump has "failed to do anything positive" for New York, according to Gov. Cuomo.
"His policies have been vicious to New York," Gov. Cuomo said at Wednesday's news conference. "He changed the tax code in a way that increased the taxes in New York and other Democratic states. He has failed to do anything positive for New York."
Cuomo was reacting to Trump's Twitter claim the governor was rejecting the help of the National Guard in quelling riots in his state, specifically looting in New York City.
Trump tweeted:
"Yesterday was a bad day for the Cuomo Brothers. New York was lost to the looters, thugs, Radical Left, and all others forms of Lowlife & Scum. The Governor refuses to accept my offer of a dominating National Guard. NYC was ripped to pieces. Likewise, Fredo’s ratings are down 50%!"
Cuomo added the verbal Twitter attack did not bother him as much as "what he's done to the people of this state."
"From day one in his administration, you have seen negative, hostile government acts," Cuomo claimed.
