Alec Baldwin, the actor who does an impression of President Donald Trump on "Saturday Night Live," said a member of the president's cabinet liked his performance.
"I'm not going to name names, but a cabinet member walked up to me at a restaurant in Manhattan — Manhattan, that's a hint — and he goes, 'I gotta tell you something. This thing you're doing is good, it's really good," Baldwin told The Hollywood Reporter.
Baldwin recalled that the cabinet member told him, "I'll get fired if anybody quoted me saying this, but that's exactly what he's like when you do it."
Trump has expressed his disapproval with Baldwin's impression.
In April, Baldwin noted that he gets more attention from the public now, thanks to his performance.
"More than anything I've ever done, people come up to me and say something to me on the streets . . . they are always thanking me for the Trump thing," Baldwin told CBS' "The Late Show."
