Pollster John Zogby warns that President Donald Trump’s current approval rating of 39 percent is the “lowest on record” and he said some Trump "believers" seem to be dropping out.

Writing for Sky News, Zogby noted that Trump won the 2016 White House race with a paltry 46 percent of the popular vote, and after his first year his job approval average has slid by seven points.

A December 2017 Gallup poll gave Trump a 32 percent rating, making it the lowest rating for a president in the first year in office, Zogby noted, and his 39 percent average after his first full year is also the lowest on record.

This comes despite the booming economy and low unemployment rates, but with three in five people saying the country is heading in the wrong direction and 43 percent of voters claiming to be worse off financially.

Further, Zogby noted, a recent CBS News Nation Tracker poll found a drop in the number of people who identified themselves as “believers” in Trump, with current stats putting them at just 18 percent.

There are still a few positives though.

According to Quartz, the Gallup poll found that with Israel Trump has a 14 point increase in support over Barack Obama, while with Russia his support has gained six points.

A new Politico/Morning Consult poll noted that, while Trumps overall approval ratings have dropped, Republican voters remain happy with his performance.

"Despite a tumultuous first year in office, our polling shows an uptick in Republican voters who think Trump is doing an excellent job as president,” said Morning Consult co-founder and Chief Research Officer Kyle Dropp, per Politico.

“In mid-April, 33 percent of Republicans said they would grade Trump’s presidency an ‘A,’ compared to 43 percent of Republicans who said they would give him the same grade today.”
