Injured Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine gave a new puppy to a young fan whose dog died recently, playing Santa Claus during the game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

LaVine had help with the delivery from mascot Benny the Bull, who pulled a wagon full of dog food and treats to go along with the adorable new pet, who wore a Bulls jersey for his courtside appearance.

The girl, Maria Hogan, is part of the After School Matters program, For the Win reported.

The Bulls went on to win the game, 112-94.

The team posted photos of LaVine with the puppy on Twitter before the game.

LaVine’s fans were quick to praise him for the gift.
