A woman was literally dragged from a Delta flight from Detroit after reportedly refusing to leave the plane.
A YouTube video posted on Monday shows police dragging the woman off the plane as passengers watched, the Detroit Free Press noted.
The video was posted by a blogger who was on Delta flight 2083, which was scheduled to fly to San Diego.
“Police tackled her out of her seat and brought her to the ground,” one passenger said, according to Travel Pulse. “Not sure how she was subdued, some people speculated a taser.”
In the two-minute clip, one passenger can be heard saying, “They must have tasered her,” Fox News noted.
Another witness can be heard saying, “No one is gonna believe me if I tell them,” as the woman was dragged off the plane by her wrists.
A spokesman for Detroit Metro Airport told Fox 2 Detroit that despite the woman being arrested on Monday, she has yet to be charged.
“At approximately 8 this morning, Delta Air Lines contacted Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s police department requesting assistance with a passenger who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures at a McNamara Terminal gate,” the spokesman said.
“When officers arrived, Delta Air Lines stated the woman could not remain on board,” the spokesman added. “Despite repeated requests by officers, the woman refused to leave the aircraft and had to be removed. She was arrested and charges are pending.”
According to Rene deLambert, who posted the YouTube clip, passengers witnessed the woman fail to check in “with [a] gate agent and walked right on.”
Some said the woman was demanding “overhead bin space,” but was “mouthy” with authorities leading up to the incident.
