An Oregon woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree animal abuse after she allegedly cooked her Chihuahua in her oven, killing the animal.
The 7-year-old dog was alive when police say 28-year-old Warrenton woman Noelle Georgia Moor put it into her oven Monday night and cooked it, KATU reported. Someone who knows Moor reported her over the incident on Tuesday, and she was arrested at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Moor told police that she put the Chihuahua in the oven “because she thought an ex-boyfriend was inside the dog,” KATU reported. She is being held in Clatsop County Jail.
A police report said that Moor has had several recent incidents that led to mental health interactions, The Associated Press reported.
County mental health professionals will review her case to decide whether it should continue in criminal court, KOIN reported.
The Twitterverse was not too pleased with Moor’s actions.
