A Florida woman came up with a unique cocaine possession excuse: She claimed the drug, which police said was found in her purse, must have flown in because it was windy that day.
A motor vehicle that Kennecia Posey, 26, was a passenger in, was stopped by a Fort Pierce police officer because it was swerving on the roadway. The officer detected the smell of marijuana as he approached the car, according to WPLG Channel 10 News.
During a subsequent search, the officer found a bag of marijuana and another of cocaine inside a purse Posey had on her lap.
Although Posey admitted the purse was hers and she owned up to the marijuana, the cocaine was a different matter altogether.
"I don't know anything about any cocaine," she said, according to a police report. "It's a windy day. It must have flown through the window and into my purse."
Posey was arrested on felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. She was later released on bond.
Folks on social media weren’t necessarily buying her story.
