All lawn tennis eyes were on Kate Middleton on Monday when she showed up for the first day of Wimbledon, wearing a polka-dotted dress and showing off her new haircut.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore "black heeled sandals and a white bag" to go along with the polka-dotted Dolce & Gabbana dress, noted USA Today.
Middleton did more than just look perfect, though, on opening day. She also took time to meet some of the Wimbledon ballboys and girls who will be working the iconic tennis tournament over the next two weeks.
Middleton's appearance wasn't such a surprise, considering she thinks Wimbledon is “a quintessential part of English summer," according to People magazine.
She's always admired some of tennis' greatest players for what they've accomplished in the sport -- something she addressed in a new documentary.
“I was really taken by Agassi and Sampras, Ivanisevic and Steffi Graf. That for me was my first memories,” Middleton said.
Middleton recently became the new royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where the Wimbledon Championships are held.
