The White House is reportedly investigating how a possible photo of the president’s daughter, Malia Obama, wearing a T-shirt with the logo of a rap group
ended up on the Internet, Fox New reported.
The photo, which has not been verified as authentic, recently appeared on the Instagram page for the group Pro Era.
A representative of the group said they got the photo from "a mutual friend of
Malia and the pro era member," Gawker reported.
The Verge's Chris Plante commented about the public stir the photo has caused.
"The Obama family's absence from the normal people Internet makes this otherwise typical teenage photo feel both precious and disorienting," Plante wrote. "As a civilian, I like to see any photograph that humanizes the family running the country. But I also feel guilty, like this is an invasion of a teenager's privacy."
Twitter users also commented on the stir.
