A minor technicality in "Wheel of Fortune" cost Kristen Shaw big money and a trip to Nashville last week, but her luck seems to be changing.

Shaw's mishap vent viral, with fans furious about how she lost. But now a Nashville-based company has reached out to Shaw and offered her an all-expenses paid trip to the city after she lost out on the game show last week when she added an extra word into the crossword puzzle challenge, which she had solved.

Upon hearing of the ordeal that stormed the internet within hours, L.J. Whalen, director of the tourism company Adventureworks, set about contacting local hospitality companies to see if they could come up with a new prize for Shaw, USA Today reported.

Together they were able to come up with hotel accommodations, plane tickets, and tickets to the Grand Ole Opry for Shaw.

"Our hospitality community is so close-knit, and we'd love to show Ms. Shaw and the nation that we're a lot more than boot stomping and beer drinking," Whalen said. "This is what we do here in Nashville. We give second chances."

Massive backlash erupted after Shaw lost the game, and her prizes, on the long-running show. She was trying to solve the crossword puzzle challenge in which she had to list the words that appeared. They were "right," "football," "left" and "Sally," according to Yahoo.

"Right, football, left and Sally," Shaw said as her final answer. Adding the conjunction "and" cost her the game.

The prizes, which included $1,950 in cash as well as a trip worth $8,000 to Nashville, went to the contestant who answered the puzzle correctly by eliminating the word "and." Shaw went home with $3,000 and will now get the trip after all.

"I was honestly so shocked I was almost speechless," she said, according to USA Today. "There is a lot of negativity in this world, but this shows me we are all human, we make mistakes, and for someone to want to give me a second chance, it just blew me away."

Shaw plans to take her mother with her to Nashville, although they have not yet confirmed a date.
