Vladimir Putin fans rejoice: A new 2017 calendar boasts 12 new pictures of the Russian president posing in a tree, standing in a wetsuit, smiling with a child, and, among other things, holding a fluffy kitten.
Perhaps a follow-up to last year's "All Year With the President of Russia" calendar, the newest iteration features a wide array of shots.
"Putin with a candle, Putin with a child, with a kitten, Putin by himself, with war veterans, and so on and so on," BBC's Moscow correspondent Steve Rosenberg says in a video clip posted to Twitter. "Oh, Putin with a (one-man) plane. And a crane (the bird). Very fluffy. Very cute."
Though America's relationship with Russia is contentious at best — the Obama administration is reportedly mulling a covert cyber attack against the country to retaliate for its alleged interference in this year's presidential election, according to intelligence officials — the amount of Putin swag there indicates he is beloved.
Earlier this year, a Putin-inspired cologne debuted. The fragrance, called "Leader Number One," is described as "a warm scent, a textured scent. It's soft but at the same time it’s very firm," according to Vladislav Rekunov, the Belarus-born perfumer who created the cologne, The Guardian U.K. reported.
Reaction to the new Putin calendar exploded on Twitter.
