Vladimir Putin was arrested for harassing employees at a supermarket in West Palm Beach, Florida. But it wasn't President Barack Obama's nemesis. Just someone with or just using the same name.
The not-president of Russia was facing charges of resisting-obstructing officers without violence and trespassing at Publix grocery store, said WPEC-TV.
And unlike his namesake who's often pictured shirtless on a horse, this Putin told police he "missed his ride."
The Palm Beach Post said the Publix manager called police when the man began screaming at employees and then refused to leave the store when asked.
The man, 48, first refused to give any information about himself and was originally listed as John Doe. Then he began using the name of the Russian president.
His booking information was posted on Facebook Aug. 30, with Putin's address listed as "at-large."
The incident has been kept alive on social media.
