Vince Gilligan: Pizza-Throwing at 'Breaking Bad' House Needs to Stop

By    |   Wednesday, 11 March 2015 07:52 PM EDT

Vince Gilligan, co-creator of "Breaking Bad," is calling on fans to stop throwing pizza onto the roof of the Albuquerque house that was featured in the series as the home of Walter White.

During Tuesday’s “Better Call Saul” Insider podcast, Gilligan had a request for fans to stop being rude to the residents who live in the house.

“The lady who lives in that house, she and her husband, are the two nicest people in the world, and they deserve to be treated well,” Gilligan said. “There is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof. It’s just not funny. It’s been done before. You’re not the first.”

Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut, chimed in: "If I catch you doing it, I will hunt you down."

The pizza reference comes from Season 3, Episode 2 of the show, in which Walter White throws a pizza on the roof of the house in frustration after being turned away by Skylar.

“We love our fans. I don’t love those fans. I don’t even consider them fans,” Gilligan said.

The elderly couple living in the house have been there for 41 years, The A.V. Club reported.

The homeowner previously has said that most fans are respectful and that she is a fan of the show, which uses her home in exterior shots.

"We've met people from all over the world, and it's been amazing," she told MachinimaETC.

Twitter users commented about the prank.
