Tamara K. Menke was arrested Friday in the Van Wert, Ohio, shooting death of Barbara Robinson. Robinson and another person were shot at a Van Wert home Thursday evening, the Independent reported. Robinson, who had reportedly been shot in the chest, died en route to the hospital. The second victim, a male, was shot in the thigh and listed in stable condition.
Menke was captured without incident near her Ohio City area residence, after a nearly 15-hour search, Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas Riggenbach told the Independent.
The search began shortly after 7 p.m. local time Thursday, and centered on the area surrounding Menke's home, as well as a nearby wooded area, Riggenbach said.
"I wanted to get these wooded areas searched in the daylight, where it was safer for the deputies involved," Sheriff Riggenbach said.
Officials haven't confirmed the relationship
between Menke and the victims, NewsChannel 15 reported.
