A valet found himself trapped after the Porsche 911 Carrera he tried to park ended up under a Subaru outside the Hyatt Regency Sydney Hotel in Australia Thursday morning, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Hyatt Regency officials told the newspaper that they were doing a "full assessment" of the incident along with police and the owners of the vehicles after the valet's parking efforts ended up pushing the Porsche under the Subaru Crosstrek at the hotel.
Hyatt Regency's director of sales and marketing Matthew Talbot told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. that the valet was fine after the accident, but the same could not be said for the Porsche.
"We've worked very quickly to secure the area," Talbot told ABC. "Obviously it's an interesting looking picture. We've got the fire brigade and the police on the scene as soon as we could and the vehicle was on the bottom on the other one.
The valet, who was not identified, had to be cut out of the Porsche by emergency crew but was not seriously hurt in the accident, the Morning Herald reported.
"Luckily the car underneath had a soft top, so (emergency services) were able to cut open that soft canopy and (they) got our diver out of there," Talbot told the newspaper.
"Thankfully he's in good spirits," Talbot said to the Morning Herald, adding that the valet had been offered the rest of the day off.
Witness Jonathan Bouzaid told ABC that the Porsche simply "ran into the orange car and then wedged itself under it."
"Then they kind of ran it into another white car which hit some bollards. It didn't make a big noise, just the odd crunch here and there," he continued.
A Hyatt Regency spokeswoman said in a statement that the investigation was underway.
"Hyatt Regency Sydney places the utmost importance on the safety of our staff and guests," the spokeswoman said, per the Morning Herald. "A full investigation is being conducted by hotel management over the next few days."
ABC wrote that the Porsche retails for $240,000.
