Twerking teaching assistant Jessica Vanessa has left her job working with preschoolers in Florida and is now earning a six-figure salary sharing her gyrating dance moves on Vine for advertisers.

The Orlando woman, 22, told the Daily Mail she had developed a large following on Vine for her twerking videos and when the numbers caught the attention of companies that wanted her to mention their products, it became an easy decision to leave her job.

With more than two million followers on her Vine social media site, viewers can see her latest videos from the Hollywood's Walk of Fame and advertising products and plugging a tour in Texas.

"What I make in six seconds would take me four months to make as a teaching assistant," said Vanessa. "It's definitely a blessing. I bought a new car, paid it off in full and I was able to get out of debt from the school that I graduated from. It's quite simple really, the more followers you get, the more advertisers want to pay you for mentioning their products and I've got lots."

Vanessa said she tries to entertain her fans with comedy sketches with the twerking videos to make them fun and it seems to be working with the increase in followers. She said, though, that she took a chance in leaving a secure job for the Internet.

"Quitting my job was definitely a risk because I knew once I quit there was no turning back," Vanessa said. "Either I make money doing these videos or I'm going to be broke and jobless."

Mark Shrayber of Jezebel said while the Vanessa story is good for her, it could be discouraging for those seeking education degrees.

"If you're checking your email today wondering whether that master's degree was really worth it, I suggest that you don't read this rags to riches story about a woman who went from a career in education to a career as the number one twerker on vine, because she's literally shaking her bon bons in dough," Shrayber wrote. "I tried twerking once and had to take a Vicodin because I threw out my back/like Vicodin."
