World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Triple H broke character from his bad-guy persona to console a crying boy during Monday's show in Dallas, drawing widespread attention to the tender moment.
The exchange was captured by fan Chris Olds, who posted photos on Twitter.
“The kid was sitting in a seat in front, and during the final match he went up to the wall. Triple H turn and look at him, and the kid was crying,”
Olds explained, according to WTVJ-TV. “Triple H stood up and gave him a hug, talked into his ear and patted him on the head.”
Triple H, whose real name is Paul Michael Levesque, also serves as executive vice president of WWE.
It wasn’t clear why the boy, said to be a fan of good guy John Cena, was crying, but the night ended well for the youngster. Cena won the match, and the boy was given shirts, wristbands, bandannas, and a hat and was invited backstage.
Twitter users were touched by the story.
