In the latest trailer for "Transformers: The Last Knight," released Wednesday, Optimus Prime is shown as a foe of the Autobots and fights a major battle with Bumblebee as well as traveling through time to show Transformers standing beside medieval knights at the Round Table.

The movie is the fifth featuring the giant robots, and will release to theaters on June 23, according to The Washington Post. The flick is directed by Michael Bay, who has promised 14 more movies to come.

According to the trailer, the Transformers left some important item back in medieval times, and that is why they keep coming back to Earth so often. Although the Autobots try to protect human life when they come, other Transformers don’t, and naturally, destruction ensues.

Also, something appears to be wrong with Optimus Prime, who normally fights to keep humanity safe, often against the malicious Decepticons.

His eyes appear to glow purple, which has led some to speculate that he is being influenced or controlled by someone or something, The Washington Post reported.

Historically, the Autobots, whom Optimus Prime leads, have blue-lit eyes while the Decepticons have red-lit eyes.

CNET reported that the new movie likely rewrites history, even Transformers history, but also has plenty of action.

Not everyone on Twitter was impressed by the trailer, however.
