Adkins checked himself into a rehabilitation facility for a relapse in his battle with alcoholism after he allegedly got into a fight on a cruise ship, his representative told The Daily News in January.

"Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism," his representative told the New York Daily News at the time. "As he faces these issues head on, we ask that his family's privacy will be respected."

The singer of "Ladies Love Country Boys" had been sober for 12 years before the reported altercation with an Adkins impersonator.

In addition to his country music career, Adkins was also the 2013 winner of "The Celebrity Apprentice."
