Tom Brady's April Fools' Day Prank Gives Patriots Fans a Heart Attack

Tom Brady took April Fools' Day to the extreme Wednesday with a joke that probably gave New England Patriots fans everywhere a heart attack.

The Patriots quarterback uploaded a photo to Facebook showing him in a full body cast with the caption, "Jordan's crossover is no joke," referencing an earlier pickup game he had with NBA legend Michael Jordan in the Bahamas over the weekend, according to the Boston Globe.

"April Fools' Day jokes can be so cruel. None more than the one played upon Patriots fans Wednesday by QB Tom Brady," the Globe wrote. "In the photo, Jordan's John Hancock is on the cast. But rest easy, Pats fans: Brady escaped the game unscathed."

Some admitted that the photo was pretty believable.

Brady was not the only Patriot playing April Fools' jokes Wednesday. One of his favorite targets, receiver Julian Edelman, took to Facebook as well to announce that he was leaving the team to play baseball for the Boston Red Sox.

Edelman caught the winning touchdown pass from Brady to cap a New England comeback and give the Patriots a 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.
