The sci-fi drama “Timeless” has been canceled by NBC after two seasons. This is the second time the network announced its cancellation, Entertainment Weekly reported Friday.
It did so a year ago, but gave in to pressure from fans asking that NBC give it a second season.
Eric Kripke, the show’s creator, tweeted that efforts to find another platform for the show have failed so far, but a two-hour movie at the conclusion of the current season may be in the running.
"Timeless" centers on a group of three time-travelers trying to prevent a baddie from re-writing U.S. history. They’re played by Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett.
Writer and co-creator Shawn Ryan posted his reaction on Twitter also.
Ryan also indicated that he was all in on the idea of a two-hour movie.
The #ClockBlockers hashtag he finished with refers to the name series’ fans call themselves. And for the second time in a year, the ClockBlockers were heartbroken and disgusted at the network.
