Lucasfilm axed "The Mandalorian" star Gina Carano three months ago from the Disney+ show for controversial social media posts, but now Disney has included her in its campaign for the 2021 Emmy Awards.

A poster shared by CNET surfaced on Sunday promoting cast members for awards contention. Carano is listed under the Best Supporting Actress category while Pedro Pascal's name appears under the Best Lead Character category and Giancarlo Esposito's under Best Supporting Actor.

In February, Lucasfilm announced Carano would not reprise her role as Cara Dune in "The Mandalorian" after she shared content to social media which many believed was comparing being a Republican today as being a Jew in Nazi Germany. Carano later told Ben Shapiro that was not how she intended her post to be interpreted.

"The post never said anything about Republicans or conservatives. It was more about people tearing each other apart," she said, according to Deadline. "I’ve got every single big publication saying, 'She’s comparing conservatives and Republicans to this' and that’s not really what I was doing ... I have love for everyone. I’m not a hateful person."

In losing her job, Carano told Shapiro that the warning signs were there. She claimed Lucasfilm had hired an artist several weeks ago to erase her character and put another one in her place. He then reportedly announced it on Twitter. Then a Disney staffer accidentally sent her an email after the reaction to her social media post.

"They accidentally sent me an email, which was very enlightening, so I knew. I knew they were paying attention," she said. "I know there were some people who went to bat for me, but I know that they didn't win out at the end."

Carano further claimed that there is favoritism at the studio which is based upon political choices and there are double standards in place.

"They've been all over me and they've been watching me like a hawk, and I'm watching people on the same production and they can say everything they want, and that's where I had a problem. I had a problem because I wasn't going along with the narrative," she said.

Carano added that she had been prepared to be let go because it had happened to so many others before her.

"I've seen the looks on their faces. I've seen the bullying that takes place, and so when this started, they point their guns at you, and you know it's only a matter of time," she said.

"I've seen it happen to so many people, and I just thought to myself … 'You're coming for me, I know you are.' They're making it very obvious through their employees who were coming for me, and so I was like, 'I'm going to go down swinging and I'm going to stay true to myself.'"
