Activist Tamika Mallory was reportedly kicked off an American Airlines flight over a seat assignment dispute.

The incident took place after the co-chair of the Women's March on Washington got involved in an argument with a gate agent, the New York Daily News reported.

Mallory said she had made her way to her seat but had been followed by a pilot, who summoned her and asked that she disembark from the flight

"It definitely was white male aggression," she said, according to the Daily News. "I was singled out, I was disrespected, and he was trying to intimidate me. I was discriminated against."

According to the report, Mallory had used an airport kiosk at Miami International Airport to change her seat to the aisle but, at the gate, was issued a ticket locating her back to her original seat.

Upon querying this, Mallory said the employee's response was "nasty" and "disrespectful" however, the pilot who overheard the exchange, rebuked her.

"Then he said to me, 'Can you get on this flight? Are you going to be a problem on this flight?' I said 'No, I'm not. Actually, I'm fine. But I will write my complaint down," Mallory said, per New York Daily News.

"He looked at me and said, 'You're going to get yourself a one-way ticket off this plane.'"

Malory boarded the plane and was in her seat when an announcement was made calling her to the front of the plane where the pilot was waiting to remove her from the flight.

Malory took to social media to express her rage and has garnered strong reactions.

Since then, she said airline representatives said the pilot mishandled the situation.

"He had no business getting involved in a seat dispute," she said on Twitter.
