Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer who once confessed she's never been kissed, has her first boyfriend at the age of 53.
Boyle is reportedly dating an American doctor she met during a U.S. tour stop
earlier this year, according to the Daily Mail.
"It's very early days so we'll see what happens. I hope he comes over," Boyle told The Sun this week, according to the Daily Mail. "I don't want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him. All I'll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy."
Boyle shot to stardom in 2009 after stunning the judges of "Britain's Got Talent" with a breathtaking rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Misérables." She went on to top the charts with her debut album, and even earned a pair of Grammy nominations.
The songstress also spoke with the Daily Mail about her Asperger's diagnosis, which she received last year.
"It's a very difficult subject to talk about because you always feel that eyes are on you, and people view you as different," she said. "I like to see myself as someone with a problem, but one I can solve. It is definitely getting better. Since the diagnosis I’ve learned strategies for coping with it and the best one is always to just walk away."
