Steve Harvey's stepdaughter has been charged with two misdemeanors in a hit-and-run that took place in Los Angeles last year, TMZ reported Monday.
Lori Harvey was slapped with one count of resisting/delaying/obstructing a peace officer as well as one count of hit-and-run that resulted in property damage after she smashed her Mercedes G-Wagon into a parked Prius then attempted to flee the scene late October, according to the report.
An eyewitness alleged the 23-year-old had been texting on her phone when the incident occurred. Her vehicle flipped onto its side, causing serious damage to her G-Wagon as well as the other car involved in the crash.
Lori then left the scene but was found wandering the streets nearby. No injuries were reported and Lori is expected to be arraigned later this month.
Steve meanwhile has his own set of problems to deal with after comedian Mark Curry accused him of hijacking his material.
He claimed that Harvey has been stealing his jokes for years. Referencing the now-defunct "Steve Harvey Show," Curry recalled a Halloween episode during which Harvey used all his Halloween material, Atlanta Black Star noted.
"Somebody called me and said, 'Homeboy doing your material,'" Curry said. "He did my whole Halloween run, and I know he didn’t think of it. This was true stuff that really happened to me."
Harvey has denied the allegations.
