Stephen Colbert, liberal darling and new host of the "Late Show" on CBS, insulted the looks of 79-year-old U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia after Friday's gay marriage decision in a new clip for the show.
In his dissent, Scalia wrote that he would "hide my head in a bag" if he ever authored an opinion like Justice Kennedy's.
To this, Colbert said, "I could have sworn he was already hiding his head in a flesh-toned cinch sack."
Then, bizarrely, he added, "Please, come on my show, sir!"
Colbert, 51, also went out of his way to make fun of Middle America, suggesting that it’s a hostile place for homosexuals.
The new "Late Show" starring Colbert begins in September, and it remains to be seen if he'll be able to break out of the second-place position David Letterman occupied for decades with similar liberal snark.
