Starbucks quietly raised prices Tuesday at an unknown number of locations, with coffee costs rising 10 to 20 cents, and mocha, latte, sandwich, and cookie prices raised by up to 30 cents.

Not all locations received the increases, Starbucks told Business Insider, and only about 10 percent of menu items went up in price. The coffee chain didn’t say how many of its 8,000 U.S. locations had price hikes.

“We expect 10 percent of the U.S. customer’s average customer ticket to increase by about .5 percent as a result of these beverage adjustments,” spokesperson Sanja Gould told BI.

“Pricing is continually evaluated on a product-by-product and market-by-market basis,” she added.

Starbucks previously raised its prices in November 2016, targeting cold drinks and some bakery items at most of its locations.

The increase came on the same day the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte returned to the menu for fall. It wasn’t clear whether prices were raised on the signature fall drink.

Twitter was full of complaints about the price hikes.
