Sophie Turner has blasted anti-mask wearers. The death toll related to COVID-19 continues to rise in the U.S., but many are still refusing to wear masks as protection against the virus. Taking to her Instagram stories on Wednesday, the 24-year-old "Game of Thrones" star said it was unacceptable.
"If I can wear a mask while I give birth, you can wear a mask at Walmart," Turner said in the video. "And that's the tea."
Turner and her husband, Joe Jonas, welcomed their first baby, Willa, into the world in July, according to TMZ. The married couple has been private about their lives and did not publicly announce the pregnancy. Instead, the media learned of the news when Turner was spotted with a baby bump. In the weeks leading up to the birth of Willa, Turner did post photos of her expanding belly to Instagram but did not say much about her pregnancy.
News of Turner and Jonas' relationship broke in December 2016. The following year they were engaged, and they tied the knot in May 2019. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.K., Turner revealed how the pair met.
"We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time," she said. "We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue."
Turner was 21 when Jonas proposed, but speaking with Rolling Stone, she said it did not matter that she was so young.
"I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age," she said.
