A skydiver died at a Lodi Parachute Center on Sunday when her parachute failed to deploy over California's Central Valley, authorities say.
The Federal Aviation Administration tells KCRA-TV the woman was using her own equipment when the jump took place from Skydive Lodi Parachute Center on Sunday.
The FAA will try to determine whether the parachute was properly packed.
Sunday's death marks the fifth death at the center in the past three years, and 16 have died since 1999 after taking off from the center, according to CBS News.
