Shailene Woodley was release from jail and spoke out after being arrested in North Dakota while protesting against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The actress continued her fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“One day, baby, we’ll sing our poetry. The words dripping from our tongues wet with ripened patience,” the actress wrote on social media. “And the lyrics, the sweet fruits born from the seeds our aging hands are now sowing. #alwaysinallways #heartforward #uptous #NoDAPL #protectcleanwater #iamonyourside.”

The Instagram post came after Woodley’s rep confirmed to E! News on Monday that she had been released from Morton County Jail.

“Shailene Woodley has been released from the Morton County Jail in North Dakota,” her rep told US Magazine in a statement on Tuesday. “She appreciates the outpouring of support, not only for her, but more importantly, for the continued fight against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.”

Woodley’s arrest was caught on camera as the actress went live on Facebook during the protest, US Magazine noted.

“I don’t know if you guys just heard me, but I was walking back to my RV, which is right there, so that we can go back to camp peacefully, and [the police] grabbed me by my jacket and said that I was not allowed to continue. And they had giant guns and batons and zip ties, and they’re not letting me go,” Woodley said in a live stream video that gained more than 2 million views.

“All right, I’m being arrested because I was trespassing like everyone,” she said before adding that she felt she was the only person being arrested because she’s “well known.”

According to Refinery29, Woodley has sparked widespread support for her participation in the protest, with an example of that support coming from Edward Snowden, who praised the “Fault In Our Stars” actress for raising questions about the police’s aggressive response.

The Morton County Sheriff’s Department told US Magazine that Woodley was among 27 people who were arrested for criminal trespassing at the protest on Monday.
