A new poll in Wisconsin shows the state is split on whether they would recall Gov. Scott Walker if they could,
WTAG 1360 AM radio reported Friday.

The poll indicates that Walker still has support of about 48 percent of Wisconsinites despite enduring the turbulent first months of a governorship that saw him take on public employee unions.
The poll by Wisconsin Public Radio and St. Norbert College found that 47 percent of the state’s voters would recall him.
State law doesn’t allow for a recall of an elected official until serving at least one year in office. Walker was inaugurated in January.
There are 16 recall drives to oust sitting state senators, Republicans and Democrats, in the wake of the push to eliminate collective bargaining rights of public employees.
Wendy Scattergood of St. Norbert College says more than half of the poll’s respondents do not favor recalling senators of either party.
