President Donald Trump’s "criminal alien" hotline is drawing responses on Twitter, where some have urged the public to call the hotline to report sasquatch and green alien sightings.

The White House launched its new criminal alien’s hotline on Wednesday, but it wasn’t created to track down aliens in the scientific sense. According to The Hill, the hotline is a spin-off of Trump’s January immigration order and it aims to "assist victims of crimes committed by criminal aliens," referring to individuals who reside in America, but aren’t citizens.

The Trump administration set up the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office, which will take the reported cases, and the office will be working with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.

"All crime is terrible, but these victims are unique – and too often ignored," said Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, according to The Hill. "They are casualties of crimes that should never have taken place – because the people who victimized them often times should not have been in the country in the first place."

Some are flooding the hotline with reports of UFO sightings, aliens, Bigfoot and even "muggle-born" magical people from the Harry Potter book series.

According to The Atlantic, the hotline wasn’t only created to report these types of crimes, as it will also serve as a way for "victims to receive public information."

While some Twitter users might find their tweets funny and harmless, the ICE is taking the matter seriously.

"Their actions seek to obstruct and do harm to crime victims; that’s objectively despicable regardless of one’s views on immigration policy," an ICE official said about those tweeting out phony information about the hotline, according to The Atlantic.

The launching of the new hotline in conjunction with Trump’s immigration efforts comes days after the president’s order on sanctuary cities was blocked by a judge.
