A bank robber dressed as Santa Claus stole a bag full of cash from a San Francisco bank and fled into a sea of Santas during the city’s SantaCon event Saturday.
"Any other day, Santa would have stood out," police Sgt. Monica MacDonald said,
according to The Los Angeles Times, "but that day Santa was everywhere."
The robber handed a teller a note and said he had a gun, though no weapon was seen, the newspaper reported.
SantaCon is a citywide pub crawl in which hundreds of people dress as Santa.
The Santa suspect was described as a man in his 40s or 50s about
5 feet, 11 inches tall, the San Francisco Examiner reported.
Twitter users responded to the story with amusement.
