“Sanford and Son" actor Raymond G. Allen has died at age 91. The star's daughter announced the news Monday on social media.

"Just wanted to let The Allen Family and friends know that Dad received his wing two hours ago," Ta Ronce Allen wrote in a Facebook post. "His warmth, kind heart and cleaver sayings will be missed. His laughter will ring in heaven. Rest In Heavenly Peace Raymond Allen. The last of 12 siblings."

No cause of death was mentioned but TMZ reported that Allen had been in a long-term facility in California and passed away from respiratory issues that were not COVID-related.

Allen has appeared in several hit TV shows, but his most notable role was as Uncle Woodrow "Woody" Anderson on "Sanford and Son," which ran from 1974-1977. The actor also appeared in the hilarious 70s sitcom "Good Times" as Ned and as the mechanic Merle the Earl in "Starsky and Hutch." Allen further made various guest appearances in shows including "The Jeffersons," "What's Happening!!" and "The Love Boat."

Allen reportedly fell ill in the 1980s and sparked rumors that he had died when he did not return to TV, according to IMDB. He kept a low profile after that, living quietly in Lancaster, California

Allen is survived by two children.
