Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 could be returning to the market, but if that’s the case, it won’t be in the U.S.

Samsung said Monday that it plans to sell the recalled Galaxy Note 7 as a refurbished device or rental phone, according to CNET.

“Samsung will not be offering refurbished Galaxy Note 7 devices for rent or sale in the U.S.,” a Samsung spokesperson told CNET.

The spokesperson also said that the cost of the device wouldn’t be revealed until the recalled phones are made available.

According to ABC News, Samsung hasn’t said which countries will be selling the phones yet, but they’re assessing where the devices are in demand.

This comes after the smartphones were recalled twice last year after many reports surfaced that the phones were overheating and even catching fire.

Galaxy Note 7s were recalled and then new ones were sent out, but after those phones experienced the same issues, a second recall was announced.

The company lost more than $5 billion as a result.

After conducting a series of tests, Samsung has said the issues were caused by problems with the phones’ batteries, design and manufacturing, ABC News noted.

“While we welcome this news, Samsung must share as soon as possible more detailed timelines on when it will implement its promises, as well as how it intends to change its production system to make sure this never happens again,” said Jude Lee, global senior campaigner at Greenpeace East Asia, according to CNET.

Samsung’s announcement also comes amid the release of the new Galaxy S8 smartphone, which is the first phone the company has unveiled since October when the Galaxy Note 7 was first released, Fox Business noted.
