Roseanne Barr usually makes headlines for what she says rather than for her appearance.
But Barr, who became famous as a sassy, full-figured comedian, showed off her new slimmed-down look Tuesday at the NBC Universal Summer Press Day in Pasadena, Calif., generating buzz on social media.

Barr, 61, attended the event to promote her new gig as a judge on "Last Comic Standing," which premieres May 22. She posed for photos in black pants and a belted blouse. She thanked supporters for their kind words.
Best known for her long-running situation comedy "Roseanne," Barr has often discussed her struggles with her weight. She has had multiple plastic-surgeries,
according to People magazine, and had gastric bypass surgery in 1998.
In November 2013, the often outspoken Barr went on a Twitter tirade and said that she would never work in the television industry again.
