Roseanne Barr Generates Buzz for Weight Loss, Looks Great at NBC Event

Roseanne Barr usually makes headlines for what she says rather than for her appearance.

But Barr, who became famous as a sassy, full-figured comedian, showed off her new slimmed-down look Tuesday at the NBC Universal Summer Press Day in Pasadena, Calif., generating buzz on social media.

Barr, 61, attended the event to promote her new gig as a judge on "Last Comic Standing," which premieres May 22. She posed for photos in black pants and a belted blouse. She thanked supporters for their kind words.

Best known for her long-running situation comedy "Roseanne," Barr has often discussed her struggles with her weight. She has had multiple plastic-surgeries, according to People magazine, and had gastric bypass surgery in 1998.

In November 2013, the often outspoken Barr went on a Twitter tirade and said that she would never work in the television industry again.
