Rousey told
TMZ, "I would go for sure. He's cute. He's got to be a gentleman, though. I'm not a 'first date' kind of girl. But, I don't know, we'll see when I meet him."
In the TMZ clip, Rousey also points to three of her friends who are with her, and said, "He needs to find dates for my girls, and then we'll all go."
TMZ reported Wednesday that the U.S. Marine Corps gave its stamp of approval for Rousey to attend the ball.
"It's exciting for all of our guests. It's a time to educate them on our traditions," Capt. Kendra Motz told TMZ of Rousey's proposed date with Lance Corporal Haschert.
Meanwhile, the media has turned its attention to Haschert, who's still shocked Rousey even said yes.
"The ball is going to be crazy,” Haschert told the
Washington Post, referring to the media circus that will surely be there. "I was hoping we could spend some time during the day together to just talk and hang out or whatever."
