Roger Stone assured that he will "never roll on Donald Trump" during an appearance on the Alex Jones show Sunday amid concerns that he may face indictment as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, New York Magazine noted.
The longtime Donald Trump confidante has repeatedly denied any involvement with Russia or WikiLeaks, the site that released Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta's hacked emails throughout the 2016 campaign.
However, Stone has been a subject of interest to Mueller's investigations and may face indictment for unspecified crimes arising from the 2016 presidential campaign.
In a video posted by Jones on Sunday, Stone noted that he would be the target of an effort to raise charges against him in order to get him to turn on Trump.
This, he said, was not going to happen.
Instead, Stone said Mueller was attempting to frame him for "conjured-up, concocted offenses."
Speaking to The Daily Beast, Stone said he was being forced to now pay for legal fees with money that he had saved up for a college fund to benefit his five grandchildren.
"It will get more expensive as time goes on," he said. "I have no choice but to fight—and fight, I will."
Stone said, "I kind of understand how the Christians felt when the people in the Coliseum were screaming for the lions to be unleashed."
He added that Mueller's charges were "an effort to leverage my testimony against the president of the United States" but he vowed he would "never roll on him!" The Daily Beast noted.
