Reese Witherspoon appears to have three legs on Vanity Fair’s magazine cover of some of Hollywood's biggest stars – an error first spotted on social media – and the Photoshop blooper has created an internet sensation.
Witherspoon appears on the current cover shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and honoring other big-name celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Jessica Chastain, Gal Gadot, Michael B. Jordan, and Robert De Niro, People magazine reported, but not actor James Franco who reportedly was digitally removed at the last minute.
Attention on social media quickly gravitated to Witherspoon's lower-limbs, as she sits hugging media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who appears to have an extra left hand in another photo inside, People noted.
Witherspoon and Winfrey had a little fun with the Photoshop mishap as well.
While legs and hands were added, Franco was removed, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Franco has been embroiled in misconduct allegations after winning the Golden Globe for his role in "The Disaster Artist," the celebrity publication stated.
A story in The Los Angeles Times on Jan. 11 quoted five women who charged that Franco's behavior towards them was allegedly "inappropriate or sexually exploitative."
"We made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him," a Vanity Fair representative told The Hollywood Reporter.
Vanity Fair said cover subjects are often photographed separately in small groups and combined digitally, so Franco's removal did not require a reshoot.
